Forrest Leon Freeman, born 1915. He was killed in Europe in 1945 during World War II[1]. Forrest's service record is not complete, but the Loyal Edmonton Regiment participated in the expedition to the Norwegian island of Spitzbergen on 25 August 1941, and formed part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Infantry Division, which landed in Sicily on 10 July and Italy on 3 September 1943, and fought there until March 1945, when they went to France. It is therefore likely that Forrest was killed in Italy.
