Hugh Thomas Freeman died Monday, November 20, 2000 at the age of 74. He was born December 19, 1925 in Atlanta, GA. He grew up in the West End area of Atlanta and attended Boy's High School. Tom was a stand out football player and active member of the student body. After graduating from high school, he entered the Merchant Marines and served during W.W. II. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Madeleine Virginia Baker in 1955. Tom worked for Allied Egry Co. for many years and started Freeman Forms & Supplies, Inc. in 1970. He retired in 1986 and his daughter, Nancy Balkcom and son, Matt Freeman currently run the business. Tom was an active member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church and President of his Sunday School class. He was past Chairman of the Hapeville Development Authority and active in the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce as well as the Hapeville Chamber of Commerce. Tom enjoyed many hobbies, one of which was golf. However, his main focus in life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Madeleine Freeman, Peachtree City; sons, Tommy (Kim) Freeman, Jacksonville, FL; Matt (Laura) Freeman, Peachtree City; daughters, Nancy (Steve) Balkcom, Peachtree City; Linda (Mickey) Dixon, Alpharetta; brother, Luke (Sarah) Freeman, Jackson; sister, Sally (Paul) Weir, Peachtree City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 o'clock at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Carl J.
