Marion was born in Beaver Township, Boone County, Iowa, on December 9, 1923.[1][2]
His first marriage to Norma Robison was on September 1, 1946, in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Norma is the mother of his first five children. Coincidentally, Norma's brother Wendall married Marion's sister Ruth.
His second marriage to Velma was on September 19, 1964, in Loveland, Colorado.
Marion was a farmer in later years. His farm was in Dallas County, Iowa. He died there in 1982. Velma and her younger children remained on the farm for a time.
