Thomas was born about 1638. He was the son of John Freke and Jane Shirley (or Shurley).
Thomas married Cicely Hussey in Iwerne Courtney, Dorset on 19 September 1667[1].
He died on 5 December 1701. The couple had no living issue.
His will contained instructions for the disposal of his personal estate and for considerable amounts of property brought recently. His legatees included his wife Cicely, his Penruddock nephews, and his kinsman Thomas Freke MP of Hannington Wilts together with his wife Elizabeth (Pile) Freke . A previously made indenture ensured the passage of the majority of his estate first to Elizabeth Freke (Pile) and thence to George Pitt and Lucy Pitt the children of Elizabeth's sister Lucy (Pile) Pitt. An act of Parliament was passed in 1704 to ensure that the estates could be managed during the children's minority. [2][3]
