Biography
Christopher St. George French was born in Dublin on 23 February 1860. He was the son of Arthur French and Alicia Margaret Latchford.
Christopher married Susan Charlotte Magrath, daughter of Robert Charles Magrath and Cecilia Rich, on 13 September 1884 at St. George's Parish, Dublin.[1]
Christopher and Susan arrived in Victoria in 1884 on the "Sobraon".[2]
Christopher died in Moree, New South Wales on 1 February 1918. [3]
The death occurred in the Moree Hospital on Friday night from pneumonia of Christopher St. George French. Deceased, who was 57 years of age, had only been an inmate of the hospital for a week, but had been suffering for some time prior to entering the institution. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the Cemetery.[4]
