James French was born in 1735. He was the son of Jonathan French and Elizabeth (Unknown) French. He married Sarah (Brooks) French on September 1, 1760, in Hollis, New Hampshire.
James served during the American Revolution. He was a Private, under Captain Stone and Colonel Nichols. And he provided Patriotic Service as a member of a committee to hire soldiers in Jaffrey, NH.[1]
James passed away in 1817. [2] His will is recorded.[3]
