Maria was born in 1817 in the town of Hollis, New Hampshire.[1] She is the daughter of Silas French and Sally Reed.[2]
She died on the 19th of April 1879 in Manchester, New Hampshire,[3] from cancer.[4] It is thought that Maria did not marry. She may also have been, but it is not confirmed, that she was the abolitionist[5] Maria French, who traveled around south-central New Hampshire giving lectures on the abolitionist movement.[6]
