Sarah was born in 1719. (no record found)
Sarah married Jedediah Jordan [intention recited "of Easton"] 4 June 1744 in Easton, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America.[1]
NOTE FOR FUTURE RESEARCH: Given the approximate time of death and death location in Nova Scotia, Canada, it is possible Jedediah and family were English Loyalists. The UELAC (United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada) directry does not have an entry for Jedediah, but they do have an entry for a Sarah Jordan. The directory does not have enough information to identify if it is this profile's Sarah Jordan, but there are some clues. First, her name on the list is because she is on the passenger list for the ship Cyrus transporting Loyalist to Canada1. Second, the Proof of Loyalty is in the NYGBS (New York Genealogical and Biographical Society) magazine Volume 37, No. 2 April 1906, which is not available to me. That could prove or disprove the Jordan family's UEL status.
Muster of passengers on transport Cyrus on 21st Aug., 1783, upon her trip from New York to the Saint John River. On the 6th of Sept., she was at sea, and on the 14th of Sept., she was in the Saint John River. Copy of return furnished by H. A. Powell, Esq., of Sackville, N.B. (See Collections of New Brunswick Historical Society, No. 5, 1904, pp. 277-8-9.)
