Biography

Name

Name: Mary French [1]

Birth

Jan 1637 Guilford Township, New Haven County, Connecticut. [2] or 1640 [3] or 1645

Her father's Thomas French page states that he emigrated from England in 1640-1643, which would mean that she was born in England, not Guilford, CT.[2]

Marriage

She married John Evarts Sep 14 1665 in Guilford, New Haven, CT [4]

Children

Death

Date: 1668 [4][3] or 02 SEP 1677 [3]

Burial

Village Green, Guilford Township, New Haven County, Connecticut. [2]

Note: Although this person was likely interred in Guilford's original village cemetery (now the commons and public park in downtown Guilford), no surviving gravestone was known in 1818 when all gravestones at the Village Green, but not the people's remains, were dispersed to other town cemeteries.

Gravesite Details Time and weather had erased the location of this grave when the cemetery was moved

French-5473 and French-311 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person even though the date of death issue remains. I have removed the unmerged match so the two can be merged. I have left a message on French-311 regarding the death date issues. The only source/reference on French-5473 is for Findagrave as she was one of my brick walls.
With the Mary Bow/Mary French issue resolved the only issue remaining is the date of Mary's death. Taking into consideration the fact of years passed, the graves being relocated (of sorts) according to the Findagrave Memorial for her the death date is 1689. Noting of course that Findagrave is not always accurate and has no proof for that date. I do see that even the sources/references for French-311 have conflicting death years...funny! I am completing the merge.
French-5473 and French-311 are not ready to be merged because: This should be postponed due to two reasons. The first being that Mary French, born Jan 1637 in England, and Mary Bow, born 1639 in Connecticut, are two different individuals. Having said that, both were married to John Evarts, Jr (1639-1692). The second being the dob and dod date differences.
French-5473 and French-311 appear to represent the same person because: Looks like same person, based on relationship to daughter Mehitable; uncertainty about DOD.

Thanks

Mary seems to have died in the same year (1689) as the birth of daughter Patience.
French-2325 and French-311 appear to represent the same person because: are these same person? If so plse merge. Death date ???

Row-82 and French-2325 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly the same person: same DOB, DOD, and parents. Merge into the "French" profile, not the "Row" profile.

Thanks

I do not understand or see documentation of the name "Row". Her birth name was clearly French.
