Judith French was born on 19 April 1753 in South Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Daniel French and Sarah Gould.2,3
On 3 September 1776 Judith, at age 23, married Lt. Samuel Woodman, at age 31, son of Joshua Woodman and Eunice Sawyer, in South Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Woodman (1995) gives the marriage date as 30 September 1776.4,1,5,2,3 Judith French and Lt. Samuel Woodman lived after 3 September 1776 in Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, on the old Woodman homestead.1
Judith French died on Monday, 28 September 1846 in Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, at age 93 years, 5 months and 9 days.4,5,3 Judith's gravestone inscription in the Plains Cemetery, Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, reads:
