Henry was baptised November 30, 1797 in Week St Mary, Cornwall, England. He is the son of Henry Cory and Frances Veal.[1]
He married Isabella Stanton on July 15, 1819 at St Peter & St Paul (Bath Abbey) in Bath, Somerset, England. Both were "of this parish" and they both signed the parish register. Witnesses were Thomas Willcocks and Mary Stanton.[2][3]
According to Henry's Naturalization Records, Henry and his son John French Cory left Plymouth, Devon for America on May 25, 1841 and arrived at Whitehall, Vermont in August 1841. They lived in Covert, Seneca, New York and filed their intent to become American citizens on October 2, 1844.[4]
