Mary (French) Mason was a Virginia colonist.

Mary French married George Mason in 1658. Their first son was George Mason II (1660–1716). [1][2] George Mason I (5 June 1629 – 1686) was the progenitor of the prominent American landholding and political Mason family. Mason was the great-grandfather of George Mason IV, a Founding Father of the United States.

The relationship of this Mary French to the previous parents and brother listed had no sources that would have provided any authenticity (in fact several of the links are/were broken). Her birth date and location are also unknown. Some sources say that she and George Mason only had one child together, but there is some evidence that Edward Mason was also their child (he has already been listed as a child of their's on this profile page). An extensive personal DNA survey conducted with 6 participants seems to indicate her heritage originates in the American Colonies. Also indicated are two brothers: Hugh French (French-636) and James French (French-1526).

French-498 and French-4144 appear to represent the same person because: merge of wife needed following merge of husband

dates are a little different but French-4144 dates are only "estimated"
