Note

One source gives her father as John French^[2], but there is a clear conflict in ages between the birth date given by the French Family Association (1808)> and Rebecca's marriage record.

Rebecca French Earle was not the daughter of John French and Mary Willicocks. She is related but was probably through one of John's brothers. We have not been able to put the timing together yet.
