Samuel French, born 15 May 1737 at Norwich, Connecticut, was the 2nd child of Samuel French and Elizabeth (White) French [1], who were married 4 Nov. 1734 (F.C.R.).
Samuel married 23 November 1758 at Norwich, Connecticut, Susanna Wallbridge [2].
There were nine children of this family, all born in Norwich except their last one:
Samuel French died 29 March 1814 at Chester, Hampden County, Massachusetts, entered to the town record 24 October 1814 [3].
Notes
The death of their child Azel in 1776 at Norwich, and birth of their last child, Azael, in 1778 in Chester are important for discerning the timeframe when this family moved from Norwich, Connecticut, to Chester, Massachusetts.
