Freney-5 was created by Veronica Williams through the import of KENNEDY and MURPHY on Albatros.ged on Mar 11, 2014 Martin was born in either 1835 or 1836, probably in the Newtownbarry district of Wexford. Martin was a farmer when he married Eliza who was a domestic servant. They were married in St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church in Brisbane City, by Fr. M.P. Rinchan. His half-brother Edward and Bridget Guilfoyle were the witnesses. With his brother Thomas, he worked on constructing the overland telegraph. He built the Wolston Hotel on Ipswich Road. Later the hotel here was called The Halfway. A later hotel built on this site was called the Weeroona Hotel. Martin's grand-nephew, Stan Freney would often have a drink there with workmates when he worked at Wolston Park Hospital in 1975 - 1977.
