Biography
Rasmus Rasmusson Frette was born in 1806, in Frette, Norway.
Rasmus was known as "Storefretten"
In 1833 he married Siri Torkelsdatter (1812-1878), who was from Sanda
They lived in Sande until 1852 when Rasmus inherited Garden Frette, and they moved to Frette.
Rasmus and Siri had 8 children:
- Rasmus (1834-1921) m Gunhild Olsdatter; immigrated to USA with their 5 children.
- Dordi (1837-1855)
- Ragna (1841-1861)
- Anna (1843-1864) m Rasmus Tveito (Tvedten); immigrated to USA together.
- Guri (1848-1913) m Hakan Hansson
- Nils (1850- ) m Kristi Larsdatter
- Siri (1852- ) m Joh Larsson [brother of Kristi]
- Torkeline (1854-1929) m Erik Törreson Lunde/Londa. migrated to USA together.
He died in Frette, in 1882.
