Glenn is well known as one of the founding members of The Eagles, a famous rock/country band that was active mostly throughout the 1970's and early 1980's. Glenn performed lead vocals on many of their songs, and also played the guitar, piano, and keyboards. They had 24 hit songs that made it into the top 100, like "Lyin' Eyes", "Hotel California", "New Kid In Town", "Heartache Tonight" and "How Long". The Eagles won six Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Glenn passed away on 18 January 2016 due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia, while recovering from intestinal surgery.
