Daisy, daughter of Samuel Frey and Katharina Busch, was born 13 June 1875 in Spring Garden Township, York County, Pennsylvania.^[1][2]

In 1880, five-year-old Daisy resided in Spring Garden Township with her parents Samuel (age 36, carpenter) and Catharine (34), her brothers |Edgar Allen (9) and Horace Leslie Frey (2), and first cousin Agnes Busch (9, daughter of Catharine's brother Emanuel).^[3]

On 6 April 1899 in East York, York County, she married Allen Curtis Fried,^[4][5] son of Marcellus Fried and Amanda Adams,^[6] They had two children:

• Marcellus Samuel Fried (b. 9 June 1900;^[7][8] d. 21 October 1901).^[7][8][9]

• Russell Samuel Fried (b. 2 November 1909;^[10] d. November 1981).^[10]

In 1900, Daisy (26, no children, but pregnant with her first child) and Allen C. (25, painter) lived with his widowed mother Amanda Adams Fried (age 51, mother of four, all living) in a home her mother-in-law had purchased on East Market Street in the city of York, York County.^[2]

Her mother-in-law Amanda Fried (age 60), her husband Allen C. (33, painter). Daisy E. (33) and their son Russel Samuel (age six months) remained in the same house in 1910.^[11]

Daisy died during the Spanish Flu epidemic on 20 October 1918 in York and was buried there at Mount Rose Cemetery.^[1]
