Nicholas Frymire, United Empire Loyalist
Enlisted 18 August 1777, and served as a Private and grenadier in Sir John Johnson's First Battalion, King's Royal Regiment of New York.
Nicholas married Elizabeth Walter, daughter of Philip Walter U.E.L.
Nicholas was granted land in Royal Township No. 3, Osnabruck, and Royal Township No. 4, Williamsburgh, for his loyalty and service to the Crown. The 1784 provisioning list for disbanded troops and Loyalists mustered 25 Sept. 1784 (Osnabruck) has Nicholas and family as follows: 1 man, 1 woman, and 1 son under the age of 10.
Nicholas's children were all granted land in Williamsburg Township, Dundas County.
1786, Aug. 25, Royal Township No. 4, Williamsburgh - Nicholas Frymire and family - 1 man, 1 woman, 1 boy over age 10, 1 girl under age 10.
