Nathaniel Frith was probably born in the Virginia Colony before 1645. He married Elizabeth (____) before 1669, based on the date of their first known child.[1]
Nathaniel made his will on 3 January 1676/7 in Rappahannock County, Colony of Virginia. In this will, he leaves property to his wife Elizabeth and two sons, Nathaniel and William. This will was proved on 4 July1677 in Rappahannock County.[2][3]
Nathaniel died before his will was proved on 4 July 1677.[2]
Nathaniel Frith and Elizabeth (___) had at least two sons who survived him, both named in his will:
I give & bequeath my Plantation with (sic) I now live and the land belonging to it [150 acres] Equally divided betwixt my sons Nathaniel and Willam Firth and if one dies the other to have all.
Give & bequeath my Loving Wife, Elizabeth Firth [Thrift] all my moveables and Cattle saving only one Cow Calfe to be delivered to my God daughter Rebecca Williams daughter of Jone Williams ... my two sons to be possest with their land at 17 years of age ...

Whereas Nathaniel ffrith Did by his last Will give to Rebeccah Williams a Cowe Calfe In ye behalfe therefore of ye sd. Rebeccah Williams I the Subscriber Samll. Wills doe defie that ye sd. calfe may be recorded for ye use of the sd. Rebecca with all ye furture increses forever ye make to remain to ____ ___ ____ ____ with a crope & slitt in ye right Eare & a crope & hole in ye Left eare. August ye 27th 1680. Recorded 8 die 7bris Anno 1680 Samll. ( ) Wells
Rebecca Williams, goddaughter named in his will, is believed be Nathaniel's niece, daughter of his sister Joane Frith who married Roger Williams in 1670.[5]

Robert Goodwin (James) was married before 1696 to Anne _____. By occupation he was a planter. They resided in Hampton parish, York Co., VA, and in 1696 Robert was grantee in a deed from Peter Goodwin, the witnesses being John, Matthew and Martin. A Robert was mentioned in 1711 as being one of the patrons of a private school. Anne Goodwin was permitted to keep an ordinary in 1715. A few years later she had married Joseph Frith, and was devisee of her son Martin, deceased, one of the orphan children of Robert Goodwin, deceased. The Goodwin Families In America By Judge John S.
