Isabelle Burns Fritz was born 11 Sep 1916 in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, USA. She was the daughter of Walter Fritz and Alice Burns. She had an older brother Walter Fritz Jr (1).

1920s

In 1920, Isabella B Fritz (3) lived at 368 Franklin Street in Chester with her mother Alice N (27), father Walter L (27), brother Walter L Jr (4), grandmother Isabella T Burns (62), aunt Wilhelmina Records (32), uncle Ernest E Records (46), cousin George H Hewitt (15), cousin Edith I Records (8m), and five boarders Mr Walter Chadwick (36), Mr Raymond Ruth (19), Mr Albert Kerns (28), Mr Grover Dickerson (33), and Mr Walter Smith (36). They rented their home. They were all white. Isabella was widowed,Wilhelmina and Ernest were married, Alice and Walter were married, Walter Smith was married, everyone else was single. Isabella had been born in Maryland, Ernest in Delaware, the rest of the family from Pennsylvania, and the boarders from various states. 1950s

On 1 April 1950, Isabelle F Smith (33) lived in Aston Mills with her husband Elwood W (36). They were white and born in Pennsylvania. They did not live on a farm and their property was less than three acres. Elwood worked 40 hours the previous week as a machinist at a rayon factory. Isabelle was a homemaker. [10]

He also built homes for a short period on California. He was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church where he was a trustee and member of the administrative board and treasurer for 25 years. He was also a member of the Aston Retired Men's Club. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Chandler, of Media; two sons, James W. Smith of Media, and Elwood W. Smith, of Aston; a brother, William M. Smith, of Garden Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Imschweiler Brower Funeral Home, 1600 Edgmont Avenue, Chester. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston. Calling hours will be Monday evening at the funeral home.
