Alvira Fritz was born in the year 1833, in the state of Ohio. Alvira's parents are Jeremiah Fritz and Maria Heyd Fritz.

1850 "1850 United States Federal Census" this census indicates that Alvira is approximately seventeen years of age and that her birthplace is Ohio. She is still living at home with her family which lives in Litchfield, Medina, Ohio. Alvira is the oldest of eight children living in the home at the moment, with the youngest child one years old.

Oct 1857 Alvira and her boyfriend filed on 26 October 1857 an intention to marry on 5 November 1857 in Medina, Ohio. ^[1]

Passed Away James Damen passed away during the Civil War, while in the service of his country on March 26, 1863 in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee. ^[3]

1870 "1870 United States Federal Census" Alvira is now thirty-seven according to the census and is living in LaGrange, Lorain, Ohio with two of her children. The census does not list her as a widow, yet her husband died in 1863 in the Civil War. ^[6]
