Biography

William Richard Lindell Fritz was born October 20, 1889, in the town of Revere Massachusetts. William's parents are Jesse Perry Fritz Jr and Carolyn Jane (Apted) Fritz frequently called Carrie. * ^[1]

1900 William was eleven years of age during the timing of this census. His grand mother Dorothy Jane Fritz was living with them or perhaps just visiting. The family was living in Revere, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA. Williams father Jesse worked as a Gas Fitter. * ^[2]

1910 In the 1910 Census William is approximately twenty years old and still lives with his family. The family has relocated to Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA. His Grandmother Dorothy is continuing to live with them. Her husband Jesse Perry Fritz was killed in a boating accident just before Williams father was born. Jesse Jr. is now employed as a Electriclighter * ^[3]

1913 On 7 July 1913, William wed the woman of his dreams named Ruth Mabel Kimpton. The couple were married in Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts. * ^[4]

1915 On October 08,1915 in Malden, Essex, Massachusetts, USA, William and Ruth gave birth to their first of two sons. They named this son Loren Kimpton Fritz. William and Ruth had waited so long for this moment and not to mention how long the grandparents had waited. * ^[5]

1917 On June 5, 1917, William with some of his brothers Ronald Chesterman Fritz and Mahlon Fritz all registered for the draft for World War I and then again for World War II. William avoided being drafted for WW I further research is required to determine if he was drafted for WW II. * ^[6]

1920 In the 1920 Census William is thirty years of age and is married to Ruth with one son named Loren who is four. The family lives in Malden, Middlesex Massachusetts. His occupation is to receive stock. * ^[7]

1920 Ruth and William had their second son on September 29, 1920, in Malden, Massachusetts. This son they named Dana Richard Fritz. * ^[8]

1930 In the 1930 Census we find William and his family which has grown to two children both boys. The family continues to live in the same home in Malden and they have taken in a lodger. * ^[9]

1940 The 1940 Census reflects William and his family living in a home they own, on Revere Street, Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts, which is where they have lived for many years. William is working as an Assistant Store Keeper. This is the first census to include very personal information such as how much money did you make and what was the highest grade in school you completed. William's income is 1820 and he finished the first year of high school. * ^[10]

1953 Between May 10 and May 11th sixty-three year old William began experiencing chest pains and having difficulty breathing. His son Loren immediately had him transported to the Concord Hospital M. P. Unit where he would remain for the next twelve hours fighting to breathe and live. William had worked in the farming industry which is a demanding industry to work in. Williams Death Certificate states he died on May 11, 1953. His son Loren was the informant for the information contained on the death certificate. His birth date is Oct 11, 1889. Williams cause of death was Myocardial infarction due to Coronary thrombosis. * ^[11]

William was interned at the Maple Avenue Cemetery located in Hillsboro, New Hampshire on May 14th, 1953. * ^[12]

After my fathers (Ferdinand Earl Frith) mother died (Nina Sophia Fritz), my father was able to go around and me his fathers (Ronald Chesterman Fritz) siblings. He had a wonderful time meeting all of them. He realized how much he had missed by not getting to know them earlier in his life.
