Wilhelm Daniel Fritze was born in 1843 in the Duchy of Nassau, Prussia .
His family immigrated aboard the "John Dethhardt", landed at Indianola, Texas. They arrived in Fredericksburg in 1846.
He married Anna E. Schneider on 19 October 1872 in Gillespie Co,, Texas.
He serviced in the CSA as 1st SGT in Company A 1st Battn, Texas Calvary. He was also a Texas Ranger in 1872 and the Castell blacksmith.
Wilhelm passed away on 2 July 1928 and was buried at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Castell, Texas.
