Stephan J Froelich 76 St. Cloud Aug 17, 2001
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the VA Medical Center Chapel in St. Cloud for Stephan J. Froelich, 76, of St. Cloud, who died Friday at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in St. Cloud.
The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Waite Park.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and half an hour prior to services Monday at the VA Chapel in St. Cloud. Waite Park American Legion Post # 428 will pray at 6:30 followed by the St. Cloud East Side VFW Post # 4847 praying at 6:45 p.m. and church prayers at 7:00 p.m. all Sunday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.
Stephan was born in Albany to Henry & Mary (Novak) Froelich. He married Lucy P. Ahles on August 21, 1945, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. He has lived in the St. Cloud area since 1950. He worked for 30 years at the VA medical Center in St. Cloud as a plumber and Engineer service. He is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park. He is also a member of the Waite Park American Legion Post # 428 and the St. Cloud VFW Post # 4847.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Jerome & Dianne, Nicholas, Beth & Ernest Fruth, Joenie, Susan & Andy Neu, all of St. Cloud, Anthony & Rose Mary of Rice, and Christopher & Patty, and Earl & Betty, both of Sauk Rapids; brother and sisters, Deloris Rieschl of St. Joseph, Eugene of Little Falls, and Hildigard Sorrenson, Barbara Pierz, Alice Stefen, Mary Lou Haberkorn, Florance Johnson, Joseph, Sally Wessley, Therresa Hart, Rose Mary Jufts, Marcella Krogstad, all of the Twin Cities area; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucy Froelich; sons, Francis & Benedict; sister, Monica Rassmuson; brother, Sylverster; and grandson, Eric Froelich.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Justina, Jim, Stephan, Jerry, Lucy, Damon, Peter, Joshua, and Jessica Froelich, Melissa & Joe Fruth, Lee Heltemes, Tammy Schmidt, Lori Keeville, and Karen & Stacey Evenrude.
