His sacrifice is remembered on the Eyam War Memorial with all the others who gave their lives.
Private 2703, 1st/4th Battalion (Territorial), Devonshire Regiment. Killed in action in Mesopotamia 3rd February 1917. Aged 29. Born and resident Eyam enlisted Exeter. Son of John William and Kate Froggatt, of Eyam, Sheffield. Buried in AMARA WAR CEMETERY, Iraq. Plot XVlll. Row H. Grave 2.
Also commemorated on parents grave (604) in Eyam Parish Churchyard.
Probably part of the Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force.
