I was born in Cambridge, Ontario almost 60 years ago. I grew up in the small textile town of Hespeler, where my family ran a small mill making fine worsted suiting until the early 1970's. My father's great grandfather and family came over from Germany in the early 1900's to work in the big mill. The mill paid for their passage. Two of their children were washed overboard during the journey. Subsequent generations learned the trade until my generation when the industry died out.
My ancestry is typical for Canadians. Some branches had deep roots in Colonial America, either Quakers or United Empire Loyalists (refugees from the American Revolution that settled in Ontario). Others were recent immigrants from Europe: Irish, English, Danish and German (Schleswig and Prussia).
I am married and have two grown children and two grandchildren. me, my daughters and granddaughter are currently the last in my maternal line H6A1. have a B.A. in psychology from the University of Waterloo. My early life was spent caring for my children.
My husband, a mechanical engineer, is currently retired from a position as Plant Engineer at Babcock Wilcox in Cambridge. I am an aspiring fiber artist who does hand spinning, knitting, dyeing, sewing and hand weaving.
I am a historian by avocation and am especially interested in the life of ordinary people.

I think your honor code is a good one and will follow it gladly.
If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall
The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
