Biography

Barbara was born in 1790 in Lincoln County, NC.

Her father William died when she was about 13 and she was named in his will along with five other siblings.^[1]

She married Philip Sellers in 1815.^[2] Her sister Anna Mary married Philip's brother George a few years later.

She and Philip may have informally adopted their nephew (also named Philip), one of George and Anna Mary's sons.^[3]

Barbara died in 1845 and is buried in the Froneberger family cemetery in Bessemer City, NC.^[4]
