The second child of Ben Frost and Elizabeth Lawler was Elizabeth W. who was born in 1822 in Shelby county, Alabama. She was married on 16 December 1841 in Itawamba County, Mississippi to Charles Morris Noland (Itawamba County Marriage Records, Book 1, p.207)
Charles and Elizabeth owned property in Itawamba county Mississippi at the same time as Jacob Reagor. Their property was sold before Jacob's, and it is not known if Charles came to Texas. He probably died about the time of the Reagor move to Texas as Elizabeth Noland with her two children, Martha Jane and William P., are listed on the 1850 census for Dallas County, Texas just before the listing of the Ben Frost and Jacob Reagor families. If a man were eligible for free land under the Peter's Colony contract and died before the land was granted, in most cases his widow received the land. Since Elizabeth received no headright, Charles probably died before the move to Texas.
There are two probate cases having to do with the estate of the minor children of Elizabeth Frost and Charles Noland in the Dallas County Probate Records. These children, William P. and Martha Jane Noland, were heirs to some money that was held in trust. The records so not explain the nature of the inheritance; that is, who bequeathed the estate to the children or where the estate originated.
The first case entitled, "William p. and Martha Jane Noland, minor heirs of Charles Norland, deceased, "contains a document in which Elizabeth petitioned the court to make her guardian of her two children. Her bond was made by Benjamin Frost, witnessed by Jacob Reagor and Jehu L. Frost. She made some accountings to the court for the disbursement the estate funds (Dallas County Probate Records, No. 482).
The second case entitled, William P. and Martha Jane Noland, minor heirs of Elizabeth and Charles Noland, deceased, of Arkansas, " dated 30 March 1860, contains a document making Benjamin Frost guardian of the two children (Dallas County Probate Records, No. 483). No information is included to tell what happened to Elizabeth. On 28 October 1851 she was married to Huelett Moss (Dallas County Marriage Records Book A and B, p. 55). The probate record suggests that Elizabeth and Huelett had moved to Arkansas where she died before 1860.
