Named after her father's sister. At the time of her marriage Rebecca Frost was a spinster and her residence was given as Penrith.
A Penrith newspaper reported on 19th August 1882 reported on the death of Rebecca's mother: "on Thursday morning last Mrs. [Sarah] Frost, an old and respected resident of this town, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R[ebecca] Douglas. She was over 80 years of age and had resided in the one house for 55 years. For the latter few years of her life she was deprived of her sight".[1]
By her husband Rebecca had a daughter, Margaret Elizabeth, born 1871.
Rebecca died in Newcastle in 1920 and was buried at Sandgate Cemetery on May 10th.[2][3] 15 years after her husband passed away.
