On January 1, 1829, he married Almira Goodwin.[3] They had at least seven children, possibly eight or more:

Eunice (1837-1893)
Rebecca (1838-1909)

James (1848 - ) *uncertain
Between 1838[4] and 1861,[5] Philip moved from Argyle to Pubnico.
Almira passed away on December 1, 1855.[6] Philip survived her and appears to have remarried before 1861, to Mary Ann.[7][8] He died on July 30, 1871[9][10]
