Gustave Fruge was born August 27, 1871 to Onile Fruge and his first wife, Ophelia Vidrine in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana and baptized at some point at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic in Chataignier. [1]
He married Leticia Doucet on the 19th of January 1892 at the same church he was baptized, after filing civilly on the 2nd of January.[2]
Gustave is not the Gustave Fruge who died 27 November 1959 as THAT Gustave's parents were Basile Fruge and Celestine Butler.[14]
