It does not appear that Nancy was married to any of the men attached here as "spouses" although they may have fathered some of her children. She remained Nancy Fry throughout her life. For example:

• In 1880, Nancy is enumerated as single with her mother and sister; enumerated with her is a daughter Anna, 5 months old. ^[2]
• In 1900, Nancy Fry is enumerated as single, and enumerated with her are several Fry children.^[3]
• In 1910, her marital status is not filled in (other rows on the same page are); she's with her three youngest sons.^[4]
• In 1920, she is Nancy Fry, widow, enumerated with her sons David and Wayne in Triadelphia, Wayne, West Virginia.^[5]
