Biography

Nathan Grant Fry was born about June 1869 in Delaware County, Indiana.[1] Nathan was the eight child and fourth son of Alexander Fry and Nancy McDaniel.

Nathan married Margaret "Maggie" Palmer on September 15, 1891 in Belpre Township, Washington, Ohio, USA.[2] Nathan and Maggie had six children:

  1. Minnie Mae Frye (17 Jun 1893 - 20 Oct 1976)
  2. Robert Elwood "Elwood" Frye (8 Dec 1894 - 14 Jul 1968)
  3. Samuel Alfred "Alf" Frye (24 Aug 1898 - 18 May 1962)
  4. Unknown (from the 1900 census - 4 children/3 living)
  5. Benjamin N. Frye (10 Mar 1904 - 19 Mar 1904)
  6. Daniel Warren Frye (5 Feb 1905 - 22 Jul 1981)

Nathan was recorded in the US censuses of:

  • 1870 (Nathan Fry, inferred son of Alexander Fry, in Delaware County, Indiana),[1]
  • 1880 (Nathan G Fry, son of Alexander Fry, in Washington County, Ohio)[3]
  • 1900 (Nathan Fry, head of household, in Wood County) .[4]

Nathan passed away on June 5, 1904 in New Martinsville, Wetzel County, West Virginia. He either fell or was attacked in near-by Sisterville, West Virginia and died after being rushed to a hospital in New Martinsville.[5][6]
