Philip Fry, son of Michael and Eva Fry, was born in Allegheny county, Pennsylvania, May 26, 1837. His occupation was that of a carpenter. He was a member of the Democratic party and of the Lutheran Church. He married Sophia Buckley, born March 9, 1842, died October 3, 1882, a daughter of James Buckley. Children: 1. James, born September 24, 1860, died January 19, 1900. 2. John, born February 17, 1862, lives on the adjoining farm; he married Mary Ann Montgomery, and has children: Mary Ann and William Philip. 3. Catherine, born September 24, 1863, died February 25, 1891. 4. Morton, born March 12, 1866, died September 16, 1889. 5. Philip Elias, see forward. 6. Lewis, born October 8, 1870, died June 13, 1908. 7. Nathan, born February 28, 1873. 8. Francis, born August 23, 1875, is unmarried, and lives in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. 9. Harriette, born January 3, 1879 ; married Albert Wile, and lives on an adjoining farm. 10. George Lester, born July 16, 1881, died January 8, 1888.
