In 1871, at age 1, she was living with her parents and sister Florence in Faversham, Kent.^[3]

When she was 5, her family immigrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and arrived there on 29 September 1874.^[4]

Harriett married Alexander William Frayne on 27 December 1893 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.^[5]
