Biography

Lovina Frye was born on 8 November 1805 at Seal Cove, Grand Manan, New Brunswick, Canada,[1] the daughter of Hannah Benson and Stephen Frye. Hannah and Stephen's other children included Roderick R. Frye, Louisa A. (Frye) Burke, Louinda (Frye) Cheney, Ruth (Frye) Nutter, William Benson Frye, Olive (Frye) Flagg and Stephen Frye Jr.

Lovina Frye, daughter of Hannah Benson and Stephen Frye, married John Kent, son of John and Susanna Kent, at Charlotte New Brunswick on 22 January 1829.[1] They were probably the parents of William Leonard Kent.[1]

In 1850, Lovina Kent (43) is recorded at Harrington, Washington, Maine, USA with her husband John Kent (54) and an Adeline Burk (17).

Lovina's husband John passed away in 1853.

Lovina Kent, widowed daughter of Hannah Benson and Stephen Frye, married Elisha Coffin, widowed son of Jane Wass and Mathew Coffin, on 20 December 1854 at Harrington. They had no children of their own.

In 1860 Lovina Coffin (54) is recorded at Harrington, Washington, Maine, USA with her husband Elisha Coffin (75) and an Adeline Burk (24). Lovina and Adeline gave their birthplace as New Brunswick.

In 1870 Lovina Coffin (65) is recorded at Harrington, Washington, Maine, USA with her husband Elisha Coffin (85) and an Adeline Burk (33). Lovina and Adeline gave their birthplace as New Brunswick (See Image).

Lovina's second husband Elisha Coffin passed away in 1871.

Lovina (Frye) Coffin, formerly Kent, passed away on 17 September 1872 at Harrington, Maine.[1] Twice widowed, she was survived by son William Kent.
