"Mr John Puchin of the parish of Barkbe in the countie of Leicester the one partie and Ms Jane Fryer of this towne of grate wigston the other party being of the same countie of Leicester this gentleman and this gentel woman were married in the parish church of grate wigston befoure the congregation without bannes published May the ----: 23"
Leicestershire Pedigrees and Royal Descents (William George Dimmock Fletcher), pg 42 names Jane as the daughter of Robert Freer a burgher and yeoman of Wigston, baptised on 24 Oct 1641. This is incorrect. The original entry in the parish register for Wigston Magna for that date reveals:
"Jane the daughter of Alice Freayer the wife of Deliverance Freayer burgher octob-------24"
According to the parish register for Wigston Magna she was buried in Wigston Magna on 27th January 1696/97:
"Jane the wife of Mr John Puchin [written as Parhin] Buried January xxvii"
