He married Hannah Aidley from Kingsley in 1901. In 1901 he was a farmer living with his wife Hannah on Padgate Lane Warrington Lancashire. [3] The couple had a daughter Jessie in 1902.
Hannah died in 1904.
William remarried in Warrington in 1906; to Henrietta Ibbotson from Yorkshire. The couple had at least 2 children. [4]
In 1911 he was living with his wife and 3 children in Lower Eanley Wood Farm, Norton, Runcorn, Cheshire, where he was a farmer. [4]
