Frank was born in 1887 to Percy John and Ida.[1]
Educated at Christ's College. New Zealand, and played for their rugby 1st XV in 1902-04. He was an All Black in 1905-08. He was the first player to score 5 tries in a provincial match in New Zealand; a feat he repeated for New Zealand against Queensland in 1907. A good cricketer playing for several provinces, and a keen golfer winning the NZ Amateur golf foursomes title in 1927. He was the NZ Golf Association President in 1954. He was a dentist in Hastings.
