Maximilian (Erechim) Fuchs was born in Simferopol, Crimea, in 1865. He later called himself Max Renard. He was the manager of the Danish "Circus Renard", which toured in Sweden in the 1890s, and also appeared in the circus as "Clown Max".[1] According to a very nice family history on the Internet, he also appeared with his trained dogs.[2]
