Biography

Samuel Madison Fuller was born on 13 Feb 1822 in North Carolina to parents Samuel Ransom Fuller and Nancy Love. He married firstly Sarah Stonecyffer on 3 Jul 1845 in Rabun, Georgia. Children: Nancy Adeline, Emor, James Andrew, Emma A, Mery Emor, Thomas Franklin. After Sarah died in 1865 he married Julia Ann Williams on 6 Sep 1866 in Georgia. Children: Telitha Catharine, John Henry, Sarah M, Texanna Belle, Virginia Ida, Lulah Margrett, Lula A, Ransom Calvin, Samuel Mattison, William C. He died on 31 Jan 1895 in Rabun, Georgia.

According to US Census, in 1880, Samuel M Fuller (58 yr old) and Julia A Fuller (37 yr old) were living in Tallulah, Rabun, Georgia, United States with their 8 children (3 sons, 5 daughers). They were: Thomas F Fuller, 18, son; Catharine Fuller, 11, daughter; John Fuller, 10, son; Sarah M Fuller, 8, daughter; Texas Fuller, 6, daughter; Virginia Fuller, 4, daughter; Lula Fuller, 2, daughter; Ransom Fuller, 0, son.

Gravesite Details: Burton Cemetery, Rabun County, Georgia, USA. Unfortunately, Samuel Mattison Fuller is buried in an unmarked grave since his original burial place was relocated to Burton Cemetery with no record of its location within the cemetery. His original resting place lies beneath Lake Burton. ... Hwy 197 and Blalock Goldmine Road, Lake Burton. Graves were moved by Lee Smith in 1912 while Lake Burton was being built by CCC. These were originally in town of Burton which is now under water. Robert Lee Smith, buried at Bethlehem in Habersham kept a list of the graves that were moved and is now in possession of descendants
