Sheldon and his family moved to Rossie, New York. He engaged in manufacture of iron with his brothers Stillman, Ashbel and Heman in a nearby area that became known as Fullerville, New York.[1]
Sheldon died on September 18, 1865 in Fullerville, St. Lawrence County, New York.[1][3]
