MARY FULLERTON
1851 -
Sixth child of Rev. James and Mary nee Jenkins
MARY, the last child of James' first marriage, was born in Pitt Street, Sydney in 1851. She married John Tait in 1871, they also had a family, although nothing is known of them. Mary was a beneficiary at her father James's death, inheriting four or his houses in Taylors Lane, Sydney (nos. 1, 3, 5 and 7). Her father also bequeathed her his 10 shares in the firm of "John Tait Jnr. Pty Ltd", and he stated that the shares and houses were to be free from the control of her husband. However, he later added a codicil to his will, saying that as the firm of "John Tait" had been dissolved, instead of receiving the 10 shares, she was to receive £1,000.
James also directed that when Mary died her inheritance from him was to be divided among her children.
