Biography

Funeral services for B. F. Fullerton, 96, were held on Oct. 23 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Faribault with the Rev. Vernon Burgeson officiating. Interment was made in the family lot of the Riverside Cemetery in Morristown. Grandsons, who served as pallbearers were Russell Fullerton, Melvin Meschke, Aldon Severson, Roger Packer, Alvin Wolcott and Floyd Wolters, Jr. as alternate for Larry Wolcott. Mrs. Esther McKellip, soloist, was accompanied by Herb Senne. Mrs. McKellip sang "In The Sweet By and By" and "Shall We Gather At The River." Benjamin Franklin Fullerton, the son of Benjamin and Martha Goar was born on Nov. 1, 1873 in Montevideo. In 1890 he moved to Rice County with his parents, where he engaged in farming and related agricultural pursuits until his retirement in 19 7. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Jane Soule of Morristown, on March 17, 1904, who passed away on Feb. 8, 1920. On June 4, 1921 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Wyman of Waseca, who passed away on Dec. 29, 1957. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Faribault. Mr. Fullerton, who passed away on Oct. 21, at Luck, Wis., is survived by one son, Lee Fullerton of Faribault; three daughters, Mrs. Loren (Eva) Meschke of Faribault, Mrs. Grosse (Florence) Sorenson of Luck, Wis. and Mrs. Charles (Flora) Brown of Morristown; two nephews, Dean Palmer of San Diego, Calif. and Don Palmer of Upland, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and several half-brothers. Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Luck, Amery and Clear Lake, Wis.; Mankato, New Ulm, Waseca, Wanamingo, Owatonna, Morristown, Bloomington and Northfield.

Benjamin Franklin Fullerton is a 6th great grandson of John "Mayflower" Howland.

Benjamin Franklin Fullerton is a 7th cousin of the 32nd President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
