Irene, born in 1892, is the youngest of the six children of Philip Fulmer (b. ~1844) and Malinda Fouse (1849-1919).[1] Her father, son of German immigrants--and after him her brothers--were farmers.[2][3] Following her marriage to Paul Webb Robenstine in 1916,[4] the couple continued living with the Fulmers even after their children were born:[5][6]
Kenneth Karl (b. 22 March 1917[7]; m. Margaret L George (1932-1994)[8]; d. 1 November 1995).[9]
Howard H (b. 3 January 1919;[10] d. 10 May 1977).[11]
Robert R. (b. 16 March 1922;[12] d. 27 April 1962).[13]
Mary Elsie (b. 21 April 1927; d. 26 January 1929).[14] She was just 21 months old when she died of gastroenteritis.
Raymond L (b. 23 March 1930; d. 6 April 1930).[15] He was born prematurely and only lived 13 days.
Betty K. (b. 21 May 1932; m. Corp. Carl Lee Bolyard (1928-1965)[16] d. ~1955).[17]
Irene died in 1958[18] and was buried in Restland Cemetery, Brimfield, Portage, Ohio[19], where she lies next to her husband.[20]
Research Notes
1900 census shows birth June, rather than July, 1892.
They had another daughter--Della (b. ~1925)--for whom I've found no gravesite--she may still be living.
No census record was found for 1920, which may tell us whether they lived with her family right after marriage or only at the onset of the Depression.
