Biography

Ulrich and Elizabeth Strickler donated the ground for Strickler's Mennonite Church on 28 NOV 1937.[1][2] Stricklers of Pennsylvania[3] apparently erroneously attributes this to their son, Jacob Strickler, and his wife, Lydia.

Daughter-in-law (born 1777-09-20) and mother-in-law (born 1740-01-24) both with birth name "Elizabeth Funk" are easily confused. Both are said to have parents named Henry/Heinrich Funk. There are no Funks shown in 1800 in Dauphin or Lancaster, though many in 1810 in both, particularly Lancaster.
