OBITUARY: On the Feast of All Souls, November 2, 2004, VERONICA SCHUBERT, 94, was received into the everlasting embrace of our most loving heavenly Father. She was a devout Catholic who put into practice Jesus' command to love her neighbor as herself. She loved her husband of 63 years, Richard Schubert who passed away at the age of 92 in 1998. Both by word and example she showed her 4 children how to live as followers of Jesus. She was generous in sharing her material blessings and was a compassionate listener to many friends who confided in her. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. She is survived by her daughter Madeline Schmitt and husband Dr. Anthony R. Schmitt; sons, David Schubert and wife Judy, Paul Schubert and wife Mary, Bill Schubert and wife Karen; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and many other friends and relatives. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5th at Earthman Bellaire Chapel with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. and a visitation until 9:00 p.m. As part of the wake service we would like everyone to share delightful incidents in the life of our mom. A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 6th at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road. Rite of Committal will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Garden of Gethsemani following a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Relief Services, 209 West Fayette Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201, or Women for Women International, 735 15th Street N.W., Suite 340, Washington D.C. 20005.
