Adam G'Feller is the son of Johnannes and Barbara G'Feller, who immigrated to America aboard the ship, the "Charming Nancy." It left Rotterdam, with Charles Stedman as its Captain and arrived in America by way of Plymouth, arriving in Philadelphia on October 8, 1737.
The day he arrived, Adam took the Oath of Allegiance to Great Britain and the Province of Pennsylvania. In 1785, he was living in Shenandoah County, Virginia. He probably arrived in Greene County, Tennessee between 1785 and 1805, when two of his sons, Abraham and Jacob are on the Tax Lit for Green County.
Adam Gefeller and Mary Magdalene Huber (daughter of Jacob Huber) were married in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania about 1765. They migrated to Rockingham County, Virginia prior to 1776. Adam Gefeller went to Tennessee and his will is dated December 12, 1812 Greene County, Tennessee. Adams daughter Barbara married Conrad Barnhart. Conrad Barnhart arrived in Philadelphia in August 1774 aboard the "Snow Sally". He and his wife, Barbara Gefeller, were in Greene County, Tennessee as early as 1795 when they purchased land. Their son was Jacob Barnhart born about 1790-1800 in Greene County, Tennessee. He died in Miller County, Missouri about 1849. Jacob Barnhart married Martha Shirley, daughter of Adam Shirley who was the son of Lucas Shirley. About 1846 Jacob Barnhart and Martha (Shirley) Barnhart moved to Missouri and Martha's father, Adam Shirley, moved with them.[4]
The G'Fellers (Anglesized to "Fellers") lived in the Horse Creek area of Greene County on Fellers Road, adjacent to Adam's son-in-law Conrad Barnhart.
Adam married Mary Magdalene Huber in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She probably died before April 1813, as she is not mentioned in Adam's will, which is dated December 29, 1812 and probated April 27, 1813. It names the following children: [5]

Can we change his last name to "G'Feller"?
edited by Steve Waggoner
With no birth record available to determine his correct LNAB, we should use Gfeller, the earliest spelling he used as a young adult.
I recommend that one of the profile managers make this change.
