Hi Frances,

Thanks for joining WikiTree!

As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, post a comment on my profile page or send me a private message.

  • Remember to include locations and sources in new profiles whenever possible.
  • Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so make sure to look for duplicates!
  • If you have royal ancestors, contact the EuroAristo Project to see about connecting to pre-existing lines.

Hi Frances,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

Hello fellow genies.

I am already active on Ancestry.com and so can transfer info over and then link in to other trees. I'm interested in verifying every step of the way. Right now I'm focused on the Clarke/Bass/Greene family as it joined the Zollicoffer/Swinney family in VA/GA/TX in the mid 1700's to the mid 1800's. Any primary sources would be greatly appreciated.

As I have it now, not verified: John Swinney ma. Rosey Zollicoffer in 1771and beget Ransom Zollicoffer Swinney in 1783 who ma. Mary Clarke Greene, d of Jms Wms Greene and Elizabeth (Betsy) Bass (d of Thom Bass and Mary Clarke). Could these unions really result in Capt. Newton Swinney of Ga./Tx.? I have all sorts of dates and states and siblings and some census data. But most comes from others' trees. Proof? Francie
